Summary: Release multiple thunders ability will cause them aim to same target
Description:

In version 1.8, if you release the thunder ability multiple times, the thunders will be released one after another until the number is exhausted.
In version 1.9, if you release the thunder ability multiple times, the thunders will be released together, and the thunders will hit a target at the same time.
e.g.: you release 2 thunder during a game, 2 thunders will fall on one enemy, even though one thunder can kill an enemy.
Note: i don't know whether it is a feature or a bug, so i report it.

after more testing, it appears that the crash happens when using any ability on any enemy on any level while having 0 mdps, though ball lightning somehow doesn't cause it

Summary: Auto wave hotkey couldn't cancel auto wave
Description:

Use hotkey to toggle auto-wave on and then if you want to cancel it by hotkey, it wont cancel.

Click first time-> auto wave on
Click second time->auto wave will not be off and still on.

Note: It will still toggle to off in some specific situations. I can't figure how to toggle off,maybe after i press even times, or press other keys. All in all, it will occasionally happen, but not all time.

Hello, i had the same issue of the game apparently freezing when trying to load into the tutorial.
However i noticed that as soon as i pressed "play" on Level 0.1 the game started uploading a lot of data over my phone's internet connection.
And after over 15 Minutes of constantly sending data (my wifi is only a few mbits upload though) the level did finally open! After clicking through the first few dialogues, the game now got stuck again with uploading before i could place the first tower

In fact, the game do not crash. But it severely freezes (minutes of waiting, I waited for 30 seconds when tested the bug). I even can play the game after waiting (it freezes again, less severely, for few times). And last one: Two plays on 0.1 ate 0,5 GB of my traffic.
So, I made a mistake when I said that I "cannot" play. I "can". But I have to wait for 3-5 minutes and spend 200-250 MB of traffic
How to send logs of freezing at 0.1?

The lucky shot wheel will respin automatically every time the game is closed and reopened, even when it should no longer be possible to buy respins because too less options remain. I am pretty sure it should never spin on its own without user interaction. Screenshot shows a wheel that spun so often that only one item remained. Repeating this again after all items of the wheel have been rewarded will make the game crash every time you try to open the lucky shot wheel with the following exception:

  2. close the game, reopen it
  3. when opening the lucky shot again, the previous wheel will start spinning on its own, and reward one of the few remaining options

In the "shop"-screen, the blue border highlighting the button to exchange 10 keys for a chest can get stuck, it will stay on the same position of the screen when scrolling the content below. Screenshot shows the border stuck, with its button moved away under it.
Does not break anything and goes away when leaving the shop page, so only a minor visual glitch

The laser has around 45% charging speed. When I activate the 3rd ability during its attack, the next charging interval lasts more than 100 frames. and the ones before/after that are around 66 frames

Laser's projectiles are a separate entity - basically fire-and-forget. Increasing the duration will make Laser think its projectiles are still firing and will keep it in the state of "firing" even when existing projectiles (which last shorter) no longer exist

Summary: Tower upgrades that change the barrel don’t change the firing animation
Description:

For towers that have an upgrade that changes the barrel (long barrel for cannon, sniper or nanoparticles for gauss) the bullet/fire animation still comes out from where the old barrel exit was.

So for sniper, the fire is where the default barrel ends, or on cannon the bullet exits not at the long barrel exit, but at the default barrel exit, clipping through the long barrel

If I start a game on my custom map, quit to main menu and reload the game, the wave prediction table breaks and starts displaying fake waves (see attachment).

Can't reproduce on a story map or the second custom map in the savefile, so I think it's specific to my map/portal/whatever.

If during the loading of the game go to any other window (leaving the game loading in the background), then when entering the game after launching we have a visual interface bug that is solved only by restarting the game)

1) Start the game.
2) Go to any window by alt+tab until the menu is fully loaded (Immediately after startup or while loading)
3) Return by alt+tab (or click the icon in the panel) after the music plays (this usually means the game has loaded).

= We have a bug that doesn't reset . (At least I haven't found a way to reset the bug while in the game).

Additional Information:

The bug works only if you minimize the game before it is fully loaded. Unpleasant bug if you run the game while doing something and in order not to waste time you want to minimize it before it is fully loaded.

Summary: 2nd poison tower doesn't re-target to apply multiple stacks of poison.(target priority set to "first")
Description:

The current behavior of the venom tower is that it will re-target to apply poison to any enemy in range that doesn't have it, until all targets in range have a stack of poison from that tower. Additionally you can apply multiple stacks of poison from other venom towers, with diminishing returns from each tower.

However, the issue I have found is that a second venom tower will only target un-poisoned enemies or the first enemy in line if all enemies in range already have a stack of poison. This is not in-line with the new auto targeting behavior introduced with the new version as it is not spreading a 2nd stack of poison to all enemies, only the first one in line.

Load up a game and place two venom towers some distance apart so the effect is more easily observable, but not so far that the poison effect from the first tower expires. Ideally they are spaced such that the wave of enemies is poisoned when entering the range of the 2nd tower and stay poisoned throughout so you can see which are receiving 2 stacks and which aren't.
Unfortunately you must wait until a wave where the enemies have enough HP where they aren't dying immediately after receiving the 2nd stack of poison, and the 2nd tower has ample time to re-target(which it won't).

Description:

The leaderboard % label is glitched. It goes from 100% to 1% until i hit place 0000276:0000200/8350, and then rolls back to 3%. At the same time, the next-to-beat score counter changes it's behaviour from counting the score to next % of players, to counting the score to next player on the leaderboard. While i think that the latter is expected and normal behaviour, the former is definitely a bug.

After losing or wining the level, press the newly added research button to go research. Looking at the top right the ui for resources and money is gone. You can fix it by going back into the main menu and pressing the research button again at the menu.

There are 2 problems that I found while using Tesla's Ultimate Skill. Below is a list of problems encountered:

  • The Electric Orbs from Tesla's Ultimate Skill do NOT give Experience Points
  • When the Electric Orbs kill enemies, they do NOT count towards the Enemies Killed by Tower quests AND probably Damage Dealt by Tower, as well as the Kill Count Stats on the tower menu.

Steps To Reproduce:

Step 1: Place a Tesla and bring it to LVL 20
Step 2: Equip the Ultimate Skill and then form some Electric Orbs (better if there's lots of them)
Step 3: Observe the quest for damage dealt and/or kills by Tesla (you can also observe the kills in the tower menu if you have Extra Statistics)

Additional Information:

It's best to have Tesla placed far from the portal and on the Damage Platforms (e.g. Level 5-1) to reproduce this. The LVL 10 Skill can form Electric Orbs. Keep in mind that you may need to place other towers for enemies that Tesla can't target. For Enemies Killed specifically, it can also be done on the custom maps by observing the kill count on the tower menu.

My theory for why this happens is that the Electric Orbs from Tesla is similar to the Ball Lightning Ability, since they act the same. I can suggest that having different colors for those two can help determine which is from what (like Yellow Orbs if it is from the ability, and Indigo Orbs if it is from Tesla), and probably have different codes for them.

Well, my suggestion is that the damage from Tesla's Electric Orbs should NOT count towards the requirement for forming a new orb, but should still count towards the Damage Dealt by tower AND Enemies Killed by tower quests.

a) An individual level leaderboard displays something like "1.1 - score - Normal" at the top, while the "score" part is always in lowercase independent of its translation. This also applies for the wave leaderboard page.

Real time deltas are buggy sometimes and can cause such issues.
They depend on a device, it's OS and libraries installed on it. Also such issues may be caused by changes in a timezone or when date/time is being changed manually through the device's settings.
I'm going to replace Dev mode research requirement with an in-game time which has no such issues

Most of this has been fixed - closing the thread for now.
Regarding the remaining unfixed suggestions:

  • Tile coordinates, miner double speed, star research seem to be quite intuitive. I'll add tooltips when many players start to ask what those things mean and how they work
  • Inventory cap - probably won't explain this as it is more of a technical limitation
  • Prestige definitely needs an explanation and I'll put it on my TODO list

I'm color blind -- not extremely, but not mildly. Red/green/brown are difficult for me to see. While reading the wiki the other day, I saw that on the research pane there are different color outlines to indicate whether a node is fully upgraded (green?) or not (yellow?).

After zooming way in on the tree, I can see the difference, but it's impossible to tell from even a medium zoom. Changing this would be awesome, thanks! The rest of the game (I think? though who knows what I could be missing!) looks great.

Sometimes game's rules and mechanics may force a player to constantly repeat some action or even pause the game and count frames in order to receive a slightly higher score.
While such actions may be considered a pro-move and a sign of a high skill, they require a lot of labor and make gameplay slow / turn the game into an actual work which is far from a joyful experience we need.

Tactic: Not calling waves early to regenerate more ability energy (reported by: Cinex)
Description: ability energy generation has a constant rate, not affected by early wave calls. Some stages of a game heavily rely on abilities and disabling the early wave call may be beneficial, as it allows to generate more energy and call abilities earlier (in comparison to the amount of enemy waves spawned)
Why bad:

  • game lasts longer and player may end up waiting for ability energy while all enemies are killed, staring on an empty screen and a dropping bonus coins counter for an early wave call
  • early wave calls already affect mining speed and some other bonuses as a partial fix but ability energy mechanic does not benefit from it, looking more like a bug
    Possible fix: (suggested by EuphoRowan) make ability energy benefit from 2x bonus multiplier which already affects passive coin generation and some other bonuses

Tactic: Constantly changing the targeting for a strong tower to prevent it from attacking and let weaker towers farm some XP (reported by: Cinex)
Description: towers receive most of their XP for the enemies they kill. Naturaly, the strongest tower will kill most enemies and "steal" precious XP from a weaker towers, not allowing them to level up effectively. In order to prevent this, players may need to switch the aiming strategy of the strongest tower in order to prevent it from attacking and "stealing" XP from the weaker towers
Why bad: player needs to click on the aiming strategy button constantly and it does not work perfectly unless the game is completely paused and aim mode switch is being performed on every frame. Not only it requires a lot of manual labor and slows down the gameplay, it also produces a lot of garbage in the replay
Possible fix: (suggested by EuphoRowan) add an aiming mode / button to disable any tower manually. Should also help save Gauss resources.

Tactic: Using 10x Overload for a high score almost on every map
Description: Top leaderboard scores are only possible with Overload - players are basically forced to use it if they want to compete
Why bad:

  • This is the only go-to strategy for the highest score and there should be different (at least one) ways to achieve a high score
  • Player is forced to use Overload, meaning it will always take an ability slot
  • Overload must be used with a perfect timing on a specific wave, otherwise the player won't survive until it ends - no diversity at all
    Possible fix: (far from ideal, needs discussuin) limit Overload stack size or bonuses

Magnet is absolutely useless as a 2 energy cost ability.
There is a very limited amount of towers it affects (practically 5 towers), it doesn't scale from your peak damage, and there aren't any real single target threats it could be used on.
It should probably cost 1 energy. That would at least make it at least a consideration as a coin generator.

Another overpriced/underused ability is Windstorm. There is no real reason why an enemy can be affected by Windstorm(s) only once, instead of up to 3 times, and with buffs to Blizzard it might not even be as good at stalling enemies despite costing more. Blizzard itself, on the other hand, is doing great now.
Windstorm buff in 1.9 promotes its use for defense instead of stalling, but at 3 energy it cannot compete with Fire Storm, or Smoke Bomb. It relies on enemies having gained no knockback immunity, and doesn't actually provide significant defending advantage. The towers that could take advantage of enemy stacking are very limited in count and ability to actually get value from stacked enemies.

Another pair of questionable abilities, Bullet Wall and LOIC. It is a bit silly to have 2 abilities heavily favouring vertical maps in a game that is locked to horizontal orientation. And while LOIC has great damage potential at least, Bullet Wall really can't offer much nor can it be fixed with a number change.
LOIC buff in 1.9 doesn't really do much - economy is most important in earlier stages of the game, while the main point of LOIC is incredible damage potential, far surpassing any other ability, but very awkward to use.
Bullet Wall buff needs more testing. There probably will be levels where it is used regardless.

------------------TOWERS-----------------------
Cannon still feels terrible.
Missile might be decent - it definitely feels better to use now.
Flamethrower is very awkward now, it is really hard to make it spread the fire debuff because it doesn't switch targets like Venom, but forcing it leads to no enemies with the debuff instead. Solution - make it it constantly search for enemies that are not on fire, unless Cold Fire is selected.
Venom with Fast Shells (third ability) can act as a single target DPS tower, but it still wants to do AoE and poison everything, which is counterproductive.
Considering the bonus system, Sniper is still very strong. All of its abilities are now very efficient, so it goes out of control with "the bonus". The easiest change I could see is a nerf to Killshot, maybe? That way it will only be weaker on higher levels.
Personally, I would also improve explosion piercing by 5% globally, just to see if that is too gamebreaking. So far, it doesn't seem it would be problematic.

Summary: Basic ult cloned xp can provide much higher levels to gauss self improvement

It is possible for gauss to have far higher damage via self improvement when the experience is transferred to it via the basic ult. There are sometimes a few frames in between when the tower is cloned and the xp is transferred during which if you select self improvement on the gauss you can have it provide way more bonus damage than it should. I have had 364,184% bonus damage from self improvement without Gauss having ever fired a shot which when getting full mods to it can do over 3 trillion damage.

It doesn't load correctly (even when loaded by from json option) when there are many different portals with different enemy
Configurations and some loaded configurations will be always set to (start at wave 1 and spawn endlessly) which limits map designs

Luckily there's a workaround, enabling boss enemies (star) and leaving it at (start at wave 1 and spawn endlessly) seems to make the current portal's enemy configurations load correctly so adding it to all portals fixes the issue and choosing the right boss spawn would be by putting that portal in the left-bottom corner

Second screenshot is how it looks after you restart the game with the boss spawn range set from 1 to infinite
First one is how it loaded after i disabled boss spawn on the same portal and restarted the game
This map has 23 portals right now

These crystals stand at the edge of poison cloud and, technically, may be out of its range (the center point of crystal / enemy is what's considered its place, not a texture)

There were 2 crystals that were inside the cloud but since they were destroyed by the cloud they didn't spawn the attack speed tile and the core and left 2 empty tiles near the tower

Description:

While I'm playing, I usually like to watch ads to increase loot. However, sometimes I cannot.

Environment:
1) I have good internet connection
2) The button is obviously enabled
3) At first I thought it's becouse of leaving app and coming back again (or opening messenger chat for a moment), but I checked, and sometimes it happens after described situation, and sometimes it doesn't.

I'm also cannot watch ads. Video doesn't play and timer doesn't start, but go to the end of ads and I cannot receive reward. Or ads are simply black screen without timer and only with buttons visible. But sometimes some rare ads are playing well and I get reward.

Very often last time. Also when you've got problems with watching ads during the level-passing, you cannot watch the ads in other places like increasing your loot after the level by 25% or increasing the speed of chest decryption by 20 min. You must reboot the game to see the ads again

I can also not watch ads since the Loot spin was added. I can occasionally get one a day in, which is frustrating because because I can't get anything associated with ads and before it was even bad because it wouldn't let me watch ads in succession for loot %. I could watch one, but then I'd have to sit in the pause menu for hours before I could watch any again. It would seem set restrictions for certain videos aren't local to that type and is being applied globally. It's honestly game breaking for me as I can't maximize my times efforts.

The problem is, I could do nothing with the ads - they depend mostly on Google Play libraries installed on your device and on your account data. For example:

  • Google's library may become outdated / broken
  • Ads may be disabled / banned for your account for some reason we'll never know
  • Anything else outside the Infinitode 2, which only says "show next ad" to the lib and have no control over it

I'm afraid it won't be fixed without physical access to the problematic device - I had no luck reproducing this issue and seems like ads are still showing to the most of the players

By the way, the game uses "light" ads library which uses shared libraries of Google Play services. It reduces app's size but will fail to load ads on devices without Google Play installed.
Infinitode 2 is officially available only on Google Play, which makes me assume this lib should be fine.
Please comment on this issue if you have official Android with latest Google Play on and have this issue

The problem is cache related but, I think, not directly. If I clean the cache the ads restart but not with all the cleaner apps, Super Cleaner seems works better than CCleaner.
But, imho, the problems depends on the exit of ads, seems Infinitode stay in pause waiting the end of the adv also if it is closed, infact, the ads counter in shop is hidden.
I also noticed that if I close the ads too fast at the end of the time the problem occurs often.
I think will be better to add a way to reset the counter in any case 30 seconds after the ads starts whatever happens so, problem or not, it restarts

After many cache cleaning, phone boost, mem boost and all the possible optimization, now I think is not the cache but something with the timer. Sometimes no need to cache but only a mem boost or an other type of optimization task to make the timer start again otherwise the button in shop not appears. I also noticed that I have to wait the shop timer to end, see the ads and then continue the run to view others ads for in game boost. It seems like I have to find a way to crash the timer routine to let start again and 90% of times is a phone optimization but 10% all is useless. Maybe you can add in the debug section an hard timer reset.

Update: after a lot of tests, imho, the problem is not cache related or mem related, is only a problem inner Infinitode. I use the phone cleaner+cc cleaner+Super Clenear cleaning and boosting all and nothing happened. The only way to bypass the problem is to use one of these to crash Infinitode so when it restart the timer is clean. , I h think Infinitode sometime not catch the end of an ads and stuck there.
I finish here to test, too time consuming, I hope next version will come fast and with a solution. TY and good work

I play on the latest Google Play on Android on a Samsung Galaxy S9 Note. I've reinstalled the game. This issue started for me probably in spring or summer of last year and I've used the fix of swiping the app closed and restarting it about 2 to 3 thousand times by now for sure. In the past month or two it's now getting worse. Multiple attempts to close and reopen along with every other idea I can think of or find hasn't done anything and I can no longer see a pattern to why the ads are available sometimes and some are not. Now they're also becoming unavailable in the same session without any interruption except for pausing the game for a few seconds. I say this because minimizing the game I think has possibly "broken" the "link" to the ads. I only care to use the Watch Ads, 25% bonus (when this fails after long runs or Splash farms I consider deleting the game...which is often now) and reducing the decryption timer. I should have complained before but with the workaround I was procrastinating. Now that that's not working I'd really like to find a fix. I prefer this game over so many others. It's very relaxing and helps to destress at the end of the day. :)

Unfortunately, I can confirm what has been described here. For me, the game always has the problem that advertisements are not displayed. This happens regardless of which of my Android devices I use (S10+ and TabS). Sometimes I recognise which advertisements it is trying to display, but the seconds do not count down. I have never had problems with other games that follow the same advertising principle. If you could see ads six times per game, but sometimes don't even make it, that's annoying. Restarting the programme and waiting for the first 20 seconds often helps, but not always and does not guarantee the next advertisements.

I am in and remain in a very similar boat. For me it only started with the Android update before last.

I mistakenly thought a conversation with the dev about it meant a fix had been applied their end but I was wrong (sorry!).

I've tried everything, can't get it to work so I am basically abandoning the thought of getting those bonuses and Lucky Shots. A real shame because I am at 496 ads, 4 away from the big bonus!

I'll move to playing on my laptop more I think, it's less depressing not being able to get the ads to work.

I am hugely frustrated and disappointed for me and dev- yes I like the bonuses but I like being able to contribute to the game's cost too.

Well looks like it is a big issue and, unfortunately, I'm unable to fix it (this issue is caused by 3rd party ad library).

Infinitode 2 uses AdMob to serve rewarding ads and it simply says that there are no ads to show.
I've contacted an AdMob team on this issue and had a call with one of their managers but it seems like they can't help us in any way.

Another solution is to use some other ad library but most / all of them tend to serve just awful or abusive ads. There's just no good solution for this issue.

I thought of implementing something like "get bonuses for ads without watching them for 1 month" thing for $3 just because ads simply refuse to work and I've already tired to search for a solution, but I understand that many players love ads because they are free and payments won't make any sense.
So, for now, just imagine there are no ads in this game if it does not work for you. I really don't know what to do in this case - some users see ads, others don't

Steps To Reproduce:

Get a miner with over 1800 total speed (preferably way higher than 1800), connect it to a tower with an XP modifier.
After that, either play the game frame-by-frame - tower will only get one XP modifier trigger worth of XP per frame, or leave the game running on any speed and then calculate how much XP should the tower have received using resources in the miner VS how much XP it actually got.

Additional Information:

Since this issue did not exist on 1.8.6 and prior, and this value (900+ speed with double speed time) can be reached in normal mode (100% density Scalar, 3+ mining modifiers, level 5 miner, 10 overloads), it affects leaderboards.

I highly recommend the status of this ticket to be visible for unregistered users (had to register + login bc I wanted to report it as well). I reduced gameplay to dailies, already, bc stepping up the leaderboard is affected significantly.

It is a known issue and you are right - it is related to the pre-built tower on a custom map. There's a small bug in the code - the tower "caches" the tile it was placed on and the tile "caches" the tower at the same time (so they both are aware of each other) but I've missed that second step for the map editor. It should fix itself once you re-load the map from the disk (by restarting the game). That's what Dev mode gives you - extra features, none of which are properly tested out

5) Select any item. It will become long-press selected instantly
6) Deselect that item by pressing on it
7) Now that you have only 1 item selected, you can see it is the item you initially selcted and have already sold/used
8) If the item is a tile, prestige the stack to crash the game

Summary: Quests show false completion immediately after level end
Description:

I think this happens if you complete one (non "Defeat waves") quest, but not the other. It seems that it just shows completion of both even though its not true. In the following screen which shows the loot per quest etc., only one of the quests is listed.

In this case, I did not quite reach the limit for cannon kills, I couldn't get a screenshot of just before death, but it was something around 800 or 900 (not over 1.1k for the quest)

Summary: Replay invalidates in-progress run if you let replay finish
Description:

When you have an in progress game, then pause and go out to the menu and start a replay of an old game, normally you can exit the replay and then go back to your current game again. If you let the replay go to completion, however, without exiting before the end, then your current in progress game will be lost.

Summary: [1.8.7] Game still reacts to hotkeys while typing in the dev console
Description:

When typing commands into the dev console, the game still reacts to hotkeys, which may lead to an accidental placement / deletion of a tower, calling the next wave, toggling detailed mode, hiding important UI elements, etc.
