Description

The Research button is available and useable before you unlock it in the Story
it confused me to hear the ai found the research technology after I already used it

It becomes able to research story line branch (which goes up and starts with Scalar mining)
In early versions of the game you had to unlock the level 2.1 to get access to the research menu but many players started to complain and things changed.
I don't really know what to do with that so just left subtitles as-is, they are not completely wrong
