In a new 4b1 game, after the 1.8 release, I am getting a completely hung game, followed by a crash of the app on switching to something else (e.e., just my Android home screen, then back to the game).

This is the second level I've played on 1.8, the first being the daily quest for today (5/7). That worked without any issue.

When returning to the game, I can continue okay on the level, but from a previous point, which has been consistent across multiple crashes. Specifically it returns me to wave 11, which on the first time I was playing the game was a point that I had left the game paused for an extended period of time and then resumed.
