As currently set, Gauss uses more valuable resources than common ones (Infiar 2 to scalar 1 by step of 0.25).
I believe it should use more cheap/abundant resources like scalar (because it may hold less energy) than infiar/tensor as these rarer resources may hold more energy when used.

Kind of compare our wood, coal, oil and uranium for instance, it needs more and more amount of lower resource to get the same power output from the best ones (disregarding the way of producing it.)

For instance, new usage could be from scalar to infiar: 4, 3, 2, 1.5, 1 or even 5, 3.5, 2, 1.4, 1 .
